NBA Top Picks 1/9: T-Wolves Roll Past Rockets, Bulls Beat Mavs for 10th Straight Win

ejsports14

A great night on Friday for me, as I went 3-0 on my top picks. That brings my season record to 7-1. Today we've got a decent amount of games going on, and I've decided on 3 picks that should bring profits to sports bettors. Let's break it down.

Minnesota's D'Angelo Russell.

Minnesota Timberwolves -7.0 @ Houston Rockets

I picked the T-Wolves in my last Top Picks article, and I'll pick 'em again today. You know the saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it. This ain't broke, and I ain't fixing it. Minnesota has won 3 consecutive contests, and are coming off of a 135-105 drubbing of the Oklahoma City Thunder. C Karl-Anthony Towns is averaging a double-double during that period, and SG D'Angelo Russell has the hot hand, only missing 1 shot in his last game. The Rockets have struggled to lock it down on the defensive end of the floor, averaging 124.5 points allowed in their past 4. Overall, they've just struggled to win games, only coming on top in 1 of their last 10 contests. Ride the Wolves tonight.

Chicago's Lonzo Ball drives to the hoop.

Chicago Bulls -2.0 @ Dallas Mavericks

The Bulls are clicking on all cylinders right now, winning 9 straight games coming into their clash with the Mavericks. Zach Lavine has been on a tear averaging 29.6 points in his last three games. The Bulls as a team have been red-hot, scoring on average 120.2 points per game during their win streak. The Mavericks have been on a run of their own, winning 5 in a row, but that has mainly been to their defense. They haven't given up over 100 points in 4 of those games. Dallas only covers 44.4% of the time at home, while the Bulls cover 65.4% when favored. Expect the Bulls to keep rolling tonight.

Golden State's Steph Curry maintains his dribble as he drives to the basket.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors Under 215

These two teams own the top-2 scoring defenses in the NBA. Their offenses aren't too special, which may come as a surprise for the Warriors. Even with Steph Curry, they only own the 11th best offense in the league. They've only scored 82 and 96 points in their last two contests, and Curry only contributed 23 points in those two games combined. The line could be overvaluing Klay Thompson's return after missing two years due to injury. Cleveland's road games go under 57.9% of the time, and the Warriors go under 66.7% of the time at home. Take the under.

Thanks for reading everyone. Let's hope I go 3-0 again, that would be sweet. We've got some exciting basketball games today, with both the Grizzlies and Bulls putting their winning streaks on the line tonight. Don't forget to sign up to my email list to never miss a publish. Be well everybody.
